Who do you know that loves to wait?

No one.

Almost every time when we go to a restaurant I say to my wife, “I hope we don’t have to wait!”

Last night we showed up at a Mexican restaurant we hadn’t been to before, and we arrived early for the dinner hour, and as we drove in, I saw people standing up in the entry way, and I said, “Oh, man, there’s a wait!” (It was all of fifteen minutes.)

Somedays, I determine what breakfast I have based on how much time I have to get ready. Cereal is the fastest, I can’t wait to make what I really like.

How many meals are in your refrigerator that are microwaveable?

We hate to wait.

We also hate to wait for people. I can get ready about fifty minutes faster than my wife, which means I spend a lot of time waiting.

But, waiting has its advantages. There are things you can do while waiting you may not be able to do other times.

Here are some things you can do while waiting:
• Read
• Get to know someone
• Have a discussion
• Plan
• Play games
Our busy life says we don’t have time to do some of the things on this small list.
But we do have time…. while waiting.
